Company Visit: FEB Unud Bachelor of Economics Study Program Explores Sustainable Development and Hospitality Sectors

Denpasar – The Bachelor of Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (FEB Unud), conducted a Company Visit program from Thursday, June 4, 2026, to Friday, June 5, 2026. This initiative offered students an invaluable opportunity to not only gain fresh academic insights but also witness firsthand how economic concepts are practically implemented across various industrial sectors.

On the first day, Thursday, June 4, 2026, students visited World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia and PUSPADI Bali. This visit allowed students to observe firsthand various practices related to sustainable development, resource management, and community empowerment that contribute directly to inclusive economic growth. Through presentation sessions and discussions with practitioners, students gained deep insights into how economic concepts are weaponized to address contemporary social and environmental challenges.

The program continued on the second day, Friday, June 5, 2026, with a visit to The Royal Pita Maha. On this occasion, students gained a comprehensive understanding of business management within the hospitality and tourism sectors, spanning from day-to-day operational aspects to the corporate strategies deployed to maintain service quality and market competitiveness. This visit provided a real-world illustration of how economic and management theories are applied within the tourism industry—one of Bali's most strategic economic pillars.

Through this series of company visits, students successfully bridged the gap between classroom-learned theories and professional field practices. This activity is highly expected to broaden students' perspectives and foster the development of core competencies that are highly relevant to modern industry demands and future sustainable development.
