Research Methods Workshop: A Critical Analysis of Public Policy Evaluation

Denpasar – The Master of Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (FEB Unud), hosted a Research Methods Workshop themed “Public Policy Evaluation” on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Held at the MM Building, 3rd Floor, Sudirman Campus, the event aimed to bolster the academic and research capabilities of graduate students.

 

The workshop featured expert speakers from J-PAL SEA, who delved into evidence-based policy evaluation approaches. The presentation emphasized the necessity of employing rigorous research methodologies to assess policy effectiveness, ensuring that outcomes provide a solid foundation for informed decision-making.

 

In addition to the core presentations, the session included an interactive discussion that challenged students to think critically and grasp the intricate dynamics of public policy. Through this initiative, FEB Unud aims to empower students to produce high-quality, relevant, and applicable research that contributes meaningfully to broader development goals.
