Faculty of Economic and Business History
The Faculty of Economics and Business of Udayana University when it was founded in early 1967, its name was the Faculty of Economics of Udayana University. Permission to administer education at that time was still limited to the Bachelor's education program, which was approved by Decree (SK) of the Director General of Higher Education Number: 102 dated September 2, 1967. The Bachelor's Education program lasted until mid-1976, following the issuance of the Minister of Education and Culture Decree Number: 0138/8/1976 dated June 18, 1976, which gave the authority to the Faculty of Economics of Udayana University to hold a complete Bachelor of Economics education program. Since 1980, a complete undergraduate education program is called a Bachelor's Degree (S1). Furthermore, paying attention to the dynamics that developed, before the 46th birthday the name of the Faculty of Economics of Udayana University was officially replaced with the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Udayana University. The name change was stipulated by the Rector of Udayana University Number: 100A / UN14 / HK / 2013 on 21 June 2013 and strengthened with the approval of the Director General of Higher Education with letter No.8466 / EI / KL / 2014 dated 31 December 2014.
In addition to organizing undergraduate (Regular) education programs, FEB Udayana University also organizes Diploma (Diploma III) education programs which are classified as Zero Level (S0) education. The Diploma III program is a substitute for the Diploma II Program that has been underway from 1978 to 1990/1991. At the time of its establishment, this Diploma II Program was called the Educational Administration of Corporate Administration (PAAP). Up to 2012, in addition to the S1 (regular) program and the Diploma III Program there were seven other programs, namely the Extension S1 Program, Accounting Professional Education (PPAk). Master of Management Program (MM), Master of Development Economics Program (MEP), and Master of Accounting Program (MAKSI), Doctoral Program (S3) in Economics, and Doctoral Program (S3) in Management Science.
The Extension S1 program was established and has been operating since the 1996/1997 school year. The decision to implement the S1 Extension Program is outlined in the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and Culture R.I. Number: 360 / DIKTI / Kep / 1996 dated July 16, 1996. In accordance with the Decree of Unud Rector No. 107 / J14 / PP.01.01 / 1996, dated 3 September 1996, the Personnel of the Non Regular Program Implementing Unit was formed at FEB Unud. The Chairperson of the Implementing Unit is responsible to the Dean of FEB Unud, then the Dean of FEB Unud is responsible to the Chancellor. In 2018 there will be no more non-regular admissions in accordance with the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation Number 90 of 2017 concerning Acceptance of Undergraduate Students at State Universities.
The permit to administer the MM Program is based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and Culture R.I. Number: 372 / DIKTI / KEP / 1998 dated October 14, 1998. The MEP program, which in 2008 was renamed the Masters Program in Economics (MIE) was established with a Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education R.I. Number: 108 / DIKTI / Kep / 2001 April 30, 2001. The organization of the Accounting Professional Education Program (PPAk) is based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education Number: 3827 / D / T / 2003 on November 20, 2003. The youngest S2 program is the MAKSI Program, based on the Decree of the Director General of the Indonesian Ministry of National Education Number: 3538 / D / T / 2007 dated November 5, 2007.
Furthermore, in line with the development of the community's need for formal education with a doctorate qualification, and to meet the demands of the Balinese people in particular and the Eastern Indonesia Region in general, in 2009 the Faculty of Economics and Business of Udayana University succeeded in opening the Doctoral Program in Economics. The Doctoral Program in Economics was opened with an operating permit issued by the Directorate General of Higher Education Number: 1249 / D / T / 2009 on July 31, 2009. Three years after the opening of the Doctoral Program in Economics, in 2012 a decision was issued regarding the implementation of the Program education license. Doctor of Management Science with Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number: 27 / E / O / 2012 dated January 24, 2012. This program has accepted the first batch of new students in odd semester of 2012/2013, the second batch of odd semester 2013/2014, and the third batch of odd semester 2014/2015. Meanwhile, the proposal to open an Accounting Doctoral Program is still in the process of being proposed.
In line with the development of various educational programs described above, the location of the Udayana University Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB Unud) office which is the center of management of various faculty activities and study programs has also changed. When it was first established (1967), the FEB Unud's office was located in the Denpasar Cooperative Academy (AKOP) office, to the south of Pasar Kreneng. Subsequently in 1968 the administration office of FEB Unud was moved to Jl. Diponegoro No. 186 Denpasar. In accordance with the development of the number of building facilities at Udayana University, in 1972 the FEB Unud administration office was moved to Jl. Doctor R. Goris. Subsequently in 1977 the administration office of FEB Unud moved again to Jl. Ir. Ida Bagus Oka No. 4 Denpasar. This office is occupied until now, in addition to the administration room and several lecture halls at the Bukit Jimbaran Campus. Since the beginning of 2001, with the addition of buildings and changes in the shape and position of existing buildings, the address of FEB Unud until now is on Jalan P.B. Sudirman Denpasar. In connection with building and room facilities in Jl. Diponegoro No. 186, for one reason then since 2011 all activities previously carried out in the building were diverted to Jl. PB Sudirman Denpasar.
The founder of FEB Unud was the late Drs. Wayan Rendha, and at the same time as the first Dean to lead FEB Unud. The following is given a detailed description of the leadership changes at FEB Unud starting from its establishment until now, namely:
