BSO Wida Holds Equilibrium Youth Entrepreneur (EYE) 2024 Workshop

Denpasar, Semi-Autonomous Body of Young Entrepreneurs, FEB UNUD, and the Semi-Autonomous Body of Young Entrepreneurs of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (BSO Wida FEB Unud) held a Young Entrepreneur Workshop in a series of Equilibrium Youth Entrepreneur (EYE) activities on Saturday, April 20, 2024, which took place in the BH Building Hall, Sudirman Campus, FEB Unud. This year, Equilibrium Youth Entrepreneur was held with the theme "Green Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Startup." This activity was attended by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Mr. Wayan Priyana. Agus Sudharma, S.E., M.Ec.Dev., Supervisor of BSO Wida FEB Unud Lecturer Element, Supervisor of FEB Unud Student Element, Chairman of DPM FEB Unud, Chairman of BEM FEB Unud, Chairman of BSO SdE FEB Unud, or who represents, Chairman of BSO Wida FEB Unud, Chairman of Hima Development Economics FEB Unud, Chairman of Hima Management FEB Unud, Chairman of Hima Accounting FEB Unud, Chairman of Hima Diploma FEB Unud, EYE Young Entrepreneur Workshop Speakers, EYE 2024 Young Entrepreneur Workshop Participants, and PKKM category participants from the Development Economics Study Program.


The Young Entrepreneur Workshop held in the first series of Equilibrium Youth Entrepreneur (EYE) 2024 aims to prepare students of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Udayana University in determining, developing, and honing their innovative business ideas. With a series of material exposure sessions, interactive sessions, and in-depth discussions, this workshop aims to not only determine the direction of a potential business but also develop the idea into a business proposal, where ten participants with the best business proposal will present it in the upcoming series of events and get funding to realize their business.


The EYE Young Entrepreneur Workshop activity began with the Report of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Remarks from the Chairperson of BSO Wida FEB Unud, and Remarks from Dr. I Made Artha Wibawa, S.E., M.M as Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University who also officially opened this event, and then continued with the presentation of material from each speaker. 

This activity presents three professional speakers who have successfully plunged and dabbled in the entrepreneurial scene and have special expertise in preparing effective and innovative Business Proposals.


The first session was opened with a presentation by Made Mahadewi Putri Raditya, a successful entrepreneur and owner of Dapoer Raditya. With her extensive experience, she shared insights on the important stages of drafting a business proposal. The main focus was on how to integrate innovation and creativity into every aspect of the proposal, as well as designing marketing strategies that are not only effective but also sustainable and environmentally friendly. Workshop participants were invited to dive deeper into the importance of eco-friendly brand positioning and how it can be a key strength in today's competitive market. Through this interactive session, participants are expected to develop their business ideas into a proposal that is not only attractive to investors but also has a positive impact on the environment and society. This workshop is open to all students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Udayana University who have the ambition to become future business people who not only seek profit but also contribute to sustainable development.


The second session featured Mr. I Putu Arik Saputra Jaya, S.Kom., a visionary and owner of the La Griya startup business, who shared his extensive experience and knowledge of the startup world. Mr. Saputra Jaya discussed the strategic steps involved in starting and developing a startup business. Participants are invited to understand the importance of effective research in licensing documents, which is often a stumbling block for many newly established startups. Moreover, Mr. Saputra Jaya will share valuable insights on how to navigate the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs today, including ways to stand out in a competitive market. Participants will get the opportunity to learn directly from a practitioner who has successfully applied theory to real business practices, as well as get practical tips that can be immediately applied in their business.


The third presentation was delivered by Dr. Ni Putu Santi Suryantini, S.E., M.M., a leading lecturer in Entrepreneurship Management from FEB Unud, who will present important material in the entrepreneurial journey: "From Idea to Action Proposal Business." In this session, Dr. Suryantini discusses in depth how to turn ideas into concrete action plans. Participants will be invited to understand the importance of competency analysis and market opportunities, as well as how these factors can be integrated into an efficient production and service mechanism. Furthermore, the session will explore effective marketing strategies and realistic budgeting, providing participants with the necessary tools to not only plan but also execute their business ideas.


Each session was followed by a discussion session, allowing participants to interact with the speakers to delve deeper into the material presented. At the end of the event, there was a challenging quiz session using the Quizizz platform, where the three participants with the highest scores were given mementos as a token of appreciation for their participation and understanding.


With the holding of the Young Entrepreneur Workshop activity in the series of Equilibrium Youth Entrepreneur (EYE) 2024 activities, students can gain comprehensive and practical knowledge in planning business proposals and are expected to be able to develop innovative ideas into solid business realization.
