Creating a Superior Generation as the Role of Outstanding Students in Building the Nation

The Student Executive Board of Udayana University (BEM FEB Unud) has implemented the 2025 Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) Work Program which took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025 in the Doctoral Building Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, Denpasar. Pilmapres 2025 carries the theme "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Industrial Revolution 4.0" this activity is designed to spur the development of the potential of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, through increasing motivation, creativity, and competence, as well as selecting the best from each Bachelor and Diploma level. The series of Pilmapres 2025 activities consists of seven stages to find the selected winners from each Bachelor and Diploma study program. The selected Outstanding Students will represent the Faculty of Economics and Business in the Internal Selection of Outstanding Students at Udayana University in 2026.

The 2025 Pilmapres was attended by 28 participants from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University. The first stage was participant registration and administration selection where participants would be filtered and classified into the top 15 undergraduate study programs and the top 6 diploma study programs. Continued with scientific writing training on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the BH 1.3 Room, FEB Unud Sudirman Campus. This training consists of three sessions, in the first and second sessions, participants will be given a presentation of material related to important things that need to be considered in making scientific papers. Then in the third session, a sharing session was held with previous Outstanding Students of FEB Unud, namely Anak Agung Ngurah Laksamana Sadewa. At the end of the activity there was an assignment to make a scientific paper according to the specified topic, and the paper was selected to find 11 finalists.

The next stage of the 2025 Pilmapres is a deep interview, this stage is a selection to explore about depth participants’ outstanding achievements. This activity was held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Room BJ 4.3, FEB Unud Sudirman Campus. The Deep Interview stage lasted for 15 minutes consisting of a Self-Description Poster presentation and a discussion session. The Deep Interview stage produced 4 finalists for the Bachelor's study program and 2 finalists for the Diploma study program. Then continued with a Technical Meeting which was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. This activity was carried out online via Zoom Meeting which was attended by the 2025 Pilmapres finalists.

The next series of events was the the 2025 Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) day. This activity was held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Doctoral Building Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University. The event began with a speech and symbolic opening of the event by beating the gong three times by Dr. I Made Artha Wibawa, S.E., M.M. as the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information. Then continued with a technical explanation of the presentation and introduction of the Jury. The presentation was carried out for 30 minutes along with a question-and-answer session for each finalist, the presentation began with the Bachelor's Program finalist then the Diploma Program finalist.

The 2025 Pilmapres was won by I Gusti Ayu Sylvia Artika Sari (Bachelor of Accounting Class of 2023) as the winner of the Bachelor's Program and Sani Maulana Malik (D3 Taxation Class of 2024) as the winner of the Diploma Program. The selected winners from each Bachelor's and Diploma programs in the 2025 Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) event will then represent the Faculty of Economics and Business in the Internal Selection of Outstanding Student Selection at Udayana University in 2026.

The implementation of the 2025 Pilmapres FEB Unud has gone smoothly in accordance with the initial objectives of the activity, producing the best representatives from each level to advance to the university level selection. “This magical sentence, ‘every step is a story worth remembering,’ truly describes an extraordinary journey. It’s not just about learning, but also getting to know yourself and meeting great people. I am grateful to have reached this point, of course, thanks to the support of my family and friends. Just enjoy the journey, that’s where growth happens, and memories are made,” said I Gusti Ayu Sylvia Artika Sari, winner of the 2025 FEB Unud Pilmapres.
