FEB Udayana Selected to Lead Bali's Economic Transformation with Regional Research and Innovation Agency
The Bali Provincial Government, through the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA), held a competition to prepare a study to realize Bali's economic transformation to be more resilient and sustainable, according to the Kerthi Balu Economic Roadmap book towards a New Era Bali: Green, Resilient, and Prosperous. Bali Economic Transformation includes six major strategies: Smart and Healthy Bali, Productive Bali, Green Bali, Integrated Bali, Smart Island, and Conducive Bali. The purpose of the study is to formulate a strategy and roadmap for increasing labor productivity in a middle-class workforce.
In an effort to implement one of these strategies, namely Productive Bali, a study is needed on “Strategies to Increase Labor Productivity Toward Middle and Upper Class Workers to Increase Bali's Economic Growth." BRIDA Bali Province selected the submitted proposals and finally appointed the Regional Spatial and Economic Research Group from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, as the self-managed implementer of the productive Bali study.
The Regional Spatial and Economic Research Group is chaired by Dr. I Nyoman Mahaendra Yasa, SE, M.Si., with members Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Purbadharmaja, SE, ME; Prof. Dr. Drs. Kembar Sri Budhi, MP; Dr. Ni Nyoman Reni Suasih, S.IP, M.Si.; Dr. Putu Ayu Pramitha Purwanti, S.E., M.Si.; Ni Made Rastini, S.E., M.M.; and I Gusti Agung Ayu Apsari Anandari, M.S.E.; and also collaborated with Dr. Ni Luh Gede Astariyani, S.H., M.H. from FH Udayana, who succeeded in eliminating other self-management candidates from several universities in Bali. The research group has signed a research cooperation agreement and started research activities.
