FEB Unud Strengthens International Footprint: Lecturers and Students Take Part in Global Conferences
Lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (FEB Unud), namely Dr. Ica Rika Candraningrat, S.E., M.M., and I Gede Nandya Oktora, P.S.E., MBA, CRA, CRP, as well as one of the undergraduate management study program students of FEB Unud, namely Putu Ayu Kezia Dewi, took part in the 15th Global Conference on Business on Contemporary Issues in Management and Social Sciences Research (GCBSS). The purpose of the activity is to disseminate research results. In addition to disseminating research results, participants also participated in a series of academic discussion sessions and workshops, including How to Publish in ABS and ABDC-ranked journals, as well as building international networks that are expected to contribute to the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). As part of the activity, through international conferences, it is also intended that articles from research results get the opportunity to be published in refereed conference proceedings, and full papers will be published in WOS, Scopus, and A-Category-indexed journals.
Global Academy of Training & Research (GATR) Enterprise collaborated with National and International Universities and Publishers to organise the 15th GCBSS on 14-15 September 2023 at Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand. With more than 150 participants in attendance, the 15th GCBSS became one of the major events in the field of Business and Social Sciences. More than 20 countries were involved and attended the conference in-person and online, including the United States, United Kingdom, South Korea, Mexico, Australia, Russia, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, India. The Plenary Session also featured prominent keynote speakers in Business and Social Sciences, namely Emeritus Prof. Dr. Gabriel A Moens (University of Queensland, Australia), Professor Dr. Danture Wickramasinghe (University of Glasgow, United Kingdom), Professor Dr. Cheryl Lynn Duckworth (Nova Southeastern University, USA), and Professor Dr. Kamran Ahmed (La Trobe University, Australia), opening the event with deep insights into the latest trends and challenges. In the Concurrent Session, researchers, including lecturers and students of FEB Unud have presented the latest findings from research relevant to Business and Social Sciences. Not only presenting research results, FEB Unud lecturers also actively participated as moderators in the Chair Session to moderate presentations and discussions between presenters.
Through participation in the 15th GCBSS, lecturers and students can update their knowledge with the latest issues and information, publish research results internationally, and build strong professional networks with fellow academics from various countries. In addition, participation in the 15th GCBSS is expected to improve the image and reputation of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Udayana University at the global level, which will provide long-term benefits for the growth and development of the institution in the future.
