Peeking into the world of entrepreneurship, the FEB Unud Lecturer passes the Teaching Practitioner Collaboration Program
The Faculty of Economics and Business of Udayana University has collaborated with PT Sarigading Pusaka Kalimantan in the Teaching Practitioner program conducted by the Entrepreneurship course. The collaboration between I Gede Nandya Oktora P.S.E., M.B.A., CRA, and CRP as a lecturer who passed the selection from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology for the Batch 3 Teaching Practitioner program with Mr. Abdi Practitioners in this entrepreneurship class has been going on for 6 meetings starting from September 29, 2023, to December 7, 2023.
Practitioner Teaching is a flagship program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia so that university graduates are better prepared to enter the workforce. This program comes as an answer to the health concern about the gap between the expertise of graduates and the needs of the world of work. The main objective of this program is to encourage active collaboration between expert practitioners and lecturers in order to create a deep and meaningful exchange of knowledge and expertise between the academic community in higher education and professionals in the world of work. This collaboration is carried out in courses delivered in the classroom, both offline and online.
The collaboration, which is packaged through presentation and discussion activities, has been running very well and has been attended by 36 students. Starting from discussions related to the topic of designing ideas and developing business opportunities to procedures for forming and establishing new businesses, this entrepreneurship class is slightly constrained by changes in lecture schedules, but with that, it does not interfere with the running of this collaboration program.
With the end of one semester of Udayama University's entrepreneurship class in this Teaching Practitioner Program, it is hoped that it can be carried out on an ongoing basis to provide a more comprehensive experience for students. So that it can close the gap in the competence of new graduates with the needs of the world of work and increase the relevance of the skills of Indonesian university graduates with the needs of the world of work and industry. Through the teaching practitioner program, it is also hoped that it can always encourage collaboration between universities and industry in organizing practical and applicable learning.
