RDE June Undergraduate Economics Study Program FEB Unud

What distinguishes economics from other social science disciplines is its approach that assumes maximization, market equilibrium and stable preferences. Economics has various theories (guides and solutions) for various practical human problems that are extracted from various empirical facts. People may be so good at solving one or a few problems that they don't need economic theory, but for many other problems, people need economic theory, including economists.

Will students get a good job when they graduate? will people always be able to avoid misfortunes such as traffic accidents, illness, earthquakes, and fires? will the business you open continue to run? will you, as a society, receive Social Security when you retire? all these questions make human life like a series of gambles. While humans cannot know for sure what the future holds, economic theory can tell us that some outcomes are more likely than others.

This RDE will discuss various economic theories that provide guidance and solutions to uncertainty. The discussion will be filled by PS SE FEB Unud Student Ni Luh Gede Sumas Windari, and Ni Made Indah Pratiwi, Charles Darwin University Student who is an Alumni of PS SE FEB Unud.
