The Development Economics Undergraduate Study Program Implements Studium Generale Activities

The Bachelor of Economics Study Program in Development Economics and Business at Udayana University has carried out General Studium activities with the theme "Social, Educational, Political, and Economical Exclusion of People With Disabilities: An Intersectional Approach" with guest lecturer Dr. Seyda Subasi Singh (Vienna University, Austria) on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the BH Auditorium, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University. Some conclusions that can be drawn from the Studium General activities are as follows:

1. The social, educational, political, and economic inclusion of people with disabilities is a complex concept, so it deserves to be explained using an intersectional approach because one aspect is related to another.

2. Poverty and disability can form a cycle. Poverty affects vulnerability. People with disabilities are vulnerable to poverty.

3. Women with disabilities have greater vulnerabilities and are often marginalized.

4. It is important to strengthen the mindset that people with disabilities have equal rights in the fields of health, education, law, and other rights to life.

Thank you for your participation in Studium Generale activities.
