The Implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Data Package Services and Online Lectures between PT Telekomunikasi Selular and Campus Representatives in Bali, NTB and NTT

Unud Rector Prof. A A. Raka Sudewi together with several state and private universities in Bali, NTB and NTT signed a virtual Memorandum of Understanding virtually Telkomsel Bulk Edu Solution with PT Telekomunikasi Selular. The event took place online from the GDLN Building, Sudirman Campus, Udayana University, Thursday (05/14/2020). Also present at the signing were the Vice Chancellor, Bureau Chief, PPK and Chairperson of the USDI as well as several other Chairmen.

PT Telkomsel Representative Ririn Widaryani expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this digital hospitality.

Through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with universities, it is hoped that the learning process in the middle of the pandemic can continue, and is a form of commitment to increase community productivity.

Education is an important sector and must continue to work in this situation. Telkomsel representatives also thanked the Higher Education for being together to become an online lecture solution, so that students can continue to learn optimally. Through the signing of this cooperation it is also expected to provide optimal benefits for Higher Education and in the future can be developed in other fields of cooperation.

While Unud Rector Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi, as the campus representative, said that this pandemic had resulted in an online teaching and learning process. Unud itself already has the infrastructure to support this through the E-Learning Oase portal. But this activity requires internet access from outside the campus and the University needs to provide internet quota assistance to students to be able to attend lectures, bearing in mind the different learning burdens, the amount of quota given is also different according to the number of SKS.

To be dynamically allocated, flexible quota packages are needed, and this can take place through packages provided by PT Telkomsel. Until now about 8600 students have registered Telkomsel's quota package and this has been allocated in April. Students can take lectures online so learning through independent isolation from their homes.

The Chancellor said, Telkomsel is one of the largest providers, in the future it is hoped that the cooperation between the two parties will continue and can be expanded in other fields.

In this activity Telkomsel also presented a package of services provided to universities to support the learning process and provide an opportunity to ask questions if there are things that are not clear.
