Transformation of Entrepreneurial Mindsets in the Digital Era 5.0: BEM FEB Holds Mini Event Equilibrium International Talk 2024

Denpasar, Press Bureau of BEM FEB Unud—Udayana University Student Executive Board (BEM FEB Unud) held a Mini Event Equilibrium International Talk on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, which took place at MM Building, 3rd Floor, Sudirman Campus, FEB Unud. Mini Event Equilibrium International Talk is a new series of Equilibrium International Talk (Equitalk) work programs in the form of talk shows that present speakers from Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak, who discuss “Empowering Entrepreneurial Mindset to Face Challenges and Opportunities in the Industrial Era 5.0." This mini-event was held with the theme “Industrial Era 5.0: Build an Entrepreneurial Mindset to Create a Long-Term Sustainable Business Using Technology.". This activity was attended by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, the Coordinator of the Management Science Doctoral Study Program, the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit, the Supervisor of the Student Executive Board of the Lecturer Element, the Chairperson of BEM FEB Unud, Professor Brian Wong Kee Mun as the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Design, and Arts at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak, as well as the speaker, and 40 participants consisting of 30 representatives from the Global Engagement Program (GEP) students and 10 representatives from BSO Wida FEB Unud.




The series of activities began with the registration of participants, invitees, and speakers, which was then followed by remarks from the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information at FEB Unud, Mr. Dr. I Made Artha Wibawa, S.E., M.M., who also opened the Mini Event Equilibrium International Talk 2024.




The event continued with the presentation of material on “Empowering the Entrepreneurial Mindset to Face Challenges and Opportunities in the Industrial Era 5.0” by Professor Brian Wong Kee Mun as Dean of the Faculty of Business, Design, and Arts, Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak. He shared knowledge related to how to build a mindset to become an entrepreneur by applying key points, which are divided into three levels: 1) primary, consisting of ingenuity, innovation, and perseverance; 2) secondary, consisting of resilience, profit-orientedness, and enthusiasm; and 3) tertiary, consisting of risk-taking, independence, and a focus on building value. The development of a mindset from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset allows entrepreneurs to grow and adapt to changes so that they can survive and thrive in the market.




The event then continued with a discussion session, which was greeted enthusiastically by the participants. Then we continued with the handover of certificates, mementos, and group photos. This activity was closed with remarks by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information of FEB Unud, Mr. Dr. I Made Artha Wibawa, S.E., M.M.

 

The success of this activity is certainly obtained from the cooperation between the committee. “The challenges we face are not small. However, with dedication and cooperation, we managed to overcome them. Each committee gave their best contribution, and this made me feel proud to work with such a solid and passionate team," said Putu Bayu Oka Saputra, Chairman of the Organizing Committee. 




The implementation of this activity is expected to provide positive output. "I hope that the implementation of the Equilibrium International Talk 2024 Mini Event work program can increase participants' understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset that can support a businessman in developing business strategies for facing market competition challenges and increasing competitiveness in the Industry 5.0 era through technology integration and sustainable product or service innovation. In addition, with the presence of international speakers from the Faculty of Business, Design, and Arts at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak, I hope that FEB Unud can realize its vision and mission of becoming an internationally reputable university,” said I Putu Bayu Oka Saputra. This hope was answered by one of the positive responses expressed by the participants. "Equitalk Mini Event activities provide a lot of new insights for students as participants. 
How to become an entrepreneur is explained in great detail by the speaker. The speaker can also convey the material very well.
