Workshop on Community Service Journal "Strategies for Establishing a Global Indexed Journal"

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University held a Community Service Journal Workshop which took place at the 3rd floor MM Building, Sudirman Campus, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University with the theme "Strategy for Establishing a Global Indexed Abdimas Journal". This workshop took place from 09.00 to 13.00 and was attended by journal managers in FEB Unud, chairman and members of the FEB Unud research group. 




The event started with the opening by the Master of Ceremony (MC), Ni Kadek Eka Jayanthi, S.E., M.Si. In the opening session opening session, remarks were given by representatives of the dean, namely the Vice Dean for Planning and Academic Affairs, Dr. Ni Putu Wiwin Setyari, S.E., M.Si. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of establishing a community service journal in FEB Unud. community service journal in FEB Unud. With This event is expected to help the establishment of journals in FEB Unud in order to maximize the downstreaming of the results of community service in FEB Unud to be published.




After the speech, the event continued with the presentation of material on the strategy of establishing a community service journal. This material was delivered by Prof. I Nyoman Darma Putra, M.Litt, Ph.D. who is the Korprodi Doktor of Cultural Studies Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University as well as the editor-in-chief of the Balinese Studies Journal which has been indexed by SCOPUS since December 2023. The material presentation session was hosted by MC Ni Kadek Eka Jayanthi, S.E., M.Si., and the discussion was guided by Moderator Gusti Ayu Putu Eka Dewi Prihantari, S.E., M.Si. In his presentation, Prof. I Nyoman Darma Putra provided in-depth insight into how to establish a community service journal by paying attention to the substance and content of the service journal.




The discussion session began with questions from the matrix journal manager Mrs. Dr. Ni Putu Ayu Darmayanti, S.E., M.M and Prof. Dr. I Putu Gde Sukaatmadja, S.E., M.P. who asked how to deal with the challenges of getting quality writing to be published in the new journal. Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Darma Putra provided a solution by initially providing incentives for authors so that they are interested in publishing in newly established journals.




The workshop was closed with a summary of the discussion results and a closing statement from. Gusti Ayu Putu Eka Dewi Prihantari, S.E., M.Si., as the moderator, expressed her gratitude to Prof. I Nyoman Darma Putra, the participants, and the entire committee involved in organizing the event. The event ended at 13.00 with the handover of souvenirs and certificates to the speakers.
